Submission Date For Audited Financial Statements Extended By NSE

NSE Submission

The COVID-19 outbreak is having an unprecedented effect on all principal market and their duties. Auditing processes, as well as internal governance, are feigned as disrupted by the COVID-19 crises. The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) considers it necessary to move the submission deadline for Audited Financial Statements by sixty days. It was originally due for submission to The Exchange on Monday, 30 March 2020.

The Head of the Broker-Dealer Regulation of the NSE has signed the circular which provided the information. It shows that the NSE is making room for a temporary suspension of the provisions of Rule 7.4 Submission of Financial and Non-Financial Reports to the Exchange of the Rulebook of the Exchange, 2015 (Dealing Members’ Rule) as amended. Read Full Rule.

Dealing Member Firms (DMFs) get sixty days of a grace period. The deadline for the submission of the Audited Financial Statement for the end of December 31, 2019, is now Friday, 29 May.
