National Youth Service Corps, NYSC orientation camps are now open to Batch B corps members
The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC orientation camps are now open to Batch B corps members as announced by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.
The PTF confirms that the NYSC camps are ready after its officials visited orientation camps in all States and FCT. Consequently, the 2020 Batch B Stream 1A orientation program commences November 10.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the PTF on COVID-19 announced in a press release that it worked with NYSC and State Health officials to guarantee that the facilities are ready to open.

NYSC Camps opens for Batch B
In order to achieve a successful operation of the NYSC Orientation Camps, the Federal and State health authorities are cooperating with all Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDA), PTF National Coordinator, Dr Sani Aliyu said.
NYSC camps will have COVID-19 sample collection sites, water supply, hand washing sites, adequate and well-spaced beds and an ambulance at the minimum the statement said.
As part of the safety measure, NYSC Batch B corp members are to report on the opening date, November 10, 2020. On arrival, they get temperature checks while bringing reusable facemasks which they should be worn properly at all times. Both corp members and NYSC officials are to follow these rules.
The statement also said the PTF considers this a responsibility to see that everyone in the NYSC camps adhere to the safety measures. By so doing, they protect themselves, colleagues and families as well.
They are not to leave out any safety measures. Physical distancing during camp activities, handwashing with soap and the use of hand sanitizers all count in preventing COVID-19.
Extension of Registration Date for 2020 Batch ‘B’, Stream 1A
The NYSC official recently announced that it is extending registration dates for 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1A PCMs.
According to its statement, “Registration of the 2020 Batch ‘B,’ Stream 1A PCMs at the NYSC Orientation Camps has been extended to Sunday, November 15 2020. PCMs who missed their scheduled dates are to report to Camp from Saturday 14 to Sunday, November 15, 2020.
