Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson has resigned.

Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalene Andersson was announced barely seven hours ago has resigned following the exit of the Social Democrats’ coalition partner the Green Party from the minority government.

Andersson had succeeded Stefan Löfven who resigned earlier in the autumn, as the Social Democrats’ party leader.

Earlier in the day, she was announced as the first female Prime Minister of Sweden, however, that was short-lived.
