Drone Tech Startup In Nigeria Secures $100 000 Funding From UK

A UK based organisation and a capital agency Zetagon is providing funding to a drone tech startup in Nigeria, Airsmat. In a pre-seed round funding, the startup received $100 000 from Zetagon.

Airsmat is building its drone and software services to fit with the trend and the fast-growing demand. It is targeting numerous industries in Nigeria and Africa where it believes it can make positive changes in the way businesses conduct their enterprise.

The funding from the UK agency will support its objectives fro Africa as it also gears toward launching its principal digital platform and division, SmatCrows beginning with Nigeria. Before mid-2021, Airsmat would have launched SmatCrows, a revolutionary platform throughout the remainder of Africa.

Adeoluwa Ibikunle, the chief technology officer of Airsmat, said that the investment will bolster an upgrade for the startup. Airsmat intends to start with creating food security within Africa using their AI-based platform according to Ibikunle.

More so, farmers will be able to manage their harvest better, sell crops faster and improve several farming activities between them and consumers.

With regards to farming elements such as productivity and crop yield, Airsmat promises to help farmers get accurate data. With these essential data, small farming actions in Nigeria can become better.
