FG Begins Free Business Registration For MSMEs Across Nigeria

Free Business Registration

The federal government has initiated one of its post-Covid-19 pandemic survival intervention efforts with the approval of free business registration for micro, small medium-sized businesses.

The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, expects micro and small entrepreneurs, artisans, craftsmen and women who are yet to formalise their business to do so. It has set up a team of aggregators to receive applications that align with CAC requirements.

The CAC will accommodate 7,906, 9,084 and 8,406 MSMEs from Abia, Lagos and Kano respectively, and 6, 600 for the remaining 33 states.

The free business registration begins October 19 2020.
