Nigerians Grieve At The News That Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster is Dead

Towards the end of the day on Wednesday 17 June, news that Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster is dead broke out in Nigerian and Twitter is already amassed in grief.

Late Dan Foster whose friend, Cool FM Radio host Dotun and Chris Obosi his colleague confirmed his death, did not give many details.

Dan Foster passed away at a local hospital in Yaba, Lagos State. It is also suspected to be a coronavirus treatment centre.

Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster had a stage name ‘Big Dawg’ and his listeners across West Africa are aggrieved after they learn that he is dead.

Who is Dan Foster?

Daniel or Dan Foster is an American radio presenter who moved to live in Nigeria since 2000. He became popular from working with Cool FM.

Before that, he lived in the United States where he worked with a number of radio stations like Cathy Hughes Radio One and Mix 106.5 FM. Dan Foster was radio DJ and radio producer as well as a former Idol West Africa judge.

He created and directed Cool FM Praise Jam of 2004. For three years in a row, 2003, 2004 and 2005, Dan Foster won the Nigeria Media Merit Awards for Best Radio Personality.
