The Nigerian stock exchange has been operating since 1960 and at least 19 companies listed at about the same time. Many of these companies have been on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, list for a long time and it has grown to be at a market capitalization of over 13 trillion.
Currently, there are at least 161 companies in the Nigerian Stock Exchange list. This number includes CG+, BLS, DWL which we will also explain in short while. The companies sectors, year of incorporation and listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange is also included on the list.
