Coronavirus Deaths Up To 1 Million Globally – Recounting the Losses

Coronavirus 1 Million Deaths

The coronavirus deaths on Monday night exceeded 1 million worldwide – a significantly dismal cost for those who died and those who are still fighting to survive it.

As with the confirmed cases and deaths in the US, Brazil is also now a hotspot for the infection having seen over 1200 deaths on its worst days.

Both the US and Brazil make up over 30% of the 1 million coronavirus deaths (the US- 205 000, Brazil – 142 000) that the WHO recorded Monday night.

The counts and testing rates have at best been low in many countries, however, health-care operations are unable to keep up with all patterns that the pandemic is serving.

Coronavirus situation report in Nigeria

Nigeria hasn’t had easy with coronavirus. However, the country is still able to stay at a level far below that of the US, India and Brazil.

Reports show that the infection rate circulates around a 10% increase from the previous day report.

This is still among the lowest anywhere in the world. Nigeria currently has 1,111 deaths and over 58 000 confirmed cases.
