Amazon, Reddit, Twitch other websites down due to suspected CDN issues

A number of leading websites including Amazon, Reddit and Twitch are down and currently inaccessible.

The issues could possibly be originating from the content delivery network, CDN, Fastly that handles several top websites.

Fastly, a cloud computing provider had earlier sent out an error message saying it was “currently investigating potential impact to performance with our CDN services.” At this moment, there is not much known about the issues of the Fastly CDN.

The UK government website – gov.UK, Financial Times, the Guardian and the New York Times are also unreachable at this time according got the BBC.

Affected websites display the message: “Error 503 Service Unavailable”.
