End SARS Accounts Freezing
The order from the court in Abuja gives the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN the power to freeze 20 banks accounts of End SARS protesters in Nigeria.
The CBN who solicited the court on October 20 had already suspended activities on some accounts days earlier. From what it told Bloomberg, Gatefield Nigeria Ltd., a public affairs company who assisted End SARS protesters in fund-raising is also affected by the verdict.
All six bank account held by Gatefield is a target of the decision after it gave its support to journalists covering the protests.

The court order on End SARS account freezing
Anyone who was active during the protests against police cruelty could already have had their account blocked.
No names or account holders under investigation were specified by the court order. However, the most obvious suspects are the TV personalities who were active during the protest.

CBN accounts freezing will last for at least three months, but depends on the results of its ongoing investigation on the End SARS movement, the ruling states.
Though not coordinated, the End SARS protest was peaceful at the beginning before turning chaotic mostly owing to the absence of a leader.
Security forces opened fire on unarmed protesters at the Lekki toll plaza on October 20 killing and injuring several civilians.

Policemen also died during the protest against the extremities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Access Bank, Fidelity Bank Plc, First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc and Zenith Bank Plc users could have their accounts frozen.
