The chaos which took over Nigeria the last weeks paused the release of the results earlier. Also, it had affected some WAEC offices nationwide as the board informed the media.
The 2020 SSCE was initially postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, a short relieve saw the board release the schedule in August.
At least 1,538,445 candidates who registered in 2020 showed up at WAEC centres. WAEC processed 456,727 results in full and withheld 215,149 results in relation to examination malpractice. Other candidates have at least one subject withdrawn.
