Currently, at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, a handful of top world players from Africa and the rest of the world are meeting to discuss global matters.
The 2020 event for this year focuses on restoring stakeholder capitalism and to unite against global issues like income inequality, societal division and the climate crisis. It is to this end it was themed ‘Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World‘.
To do this, stakeholders can forge a path through Economy, Tech and Geopolitics. The World Economic Forum is also launching an initiative to plant one trillion trees over the next decade.
Who can attend the World Economic Forum 2020?
Attending the World Economic Forum is either by membership, partnership or invitation and at least 2700 participants from 117 countries registered to attend. Delegates, leaders and heads of states from 53 countries in Africa are also present at the World Economic Forum 2020.
