The #EndSARS protest has led to the establishment of an online radio program called Soro Soke which aims to coordinate the protests across Nigeria.

The End SARS protesters are not backing down after days as they call for a total reform of the Nigerian Police Force.

How to reach Soro Soke

Soro Soko released a helpline number – 01 700 1755 as well as mobile prompts: 1 for medical assistance, 2 for legal issues, 3 for supplies, 4, 5, or 6 for mental health emergencies.

The can also be reached on this web address https://s4.radio.co/s99d55c85b/listen.

What service does Soro Soke offer?

Soro Soke offers live updates on the End SARS protest as well as reports on protesters’ whereabouts. A group of protesters set up the platform and they have received support by prominent people in Nigeria. As avid protesters themselves, they also play songs that satirical to the government.

Police intimidation on protesters and the actions of the pro-SARS group which came out of Abuja is also recorded.

Oby Ezekwesili calls the youths a real generation in her tweet and puts a hashtag saying they are “Generation Incredibles”.

Throughout the protest days, protesters have repeatedly used the name Soro Soke, which is a Yoruba phrase for speak up.

The government has agreed to the demand of the protesters. They have so far met with the number one demand to – disband the SARS. But the protest continues to blare as they expect more from the government especially with regards to the resignation of the Inspector General.
