New COVID-19 symptom looks like chickenpox sores

COVID-19 Chickenpox Symptom

The symptoms of COVID-19 as many already know are similar to the flu. Patients experience feverish conditions, fatigue, and coughing. But COVID-19 could now have one more symptom like chickenpox according to new research.

The Spanish General Council of Official Podiatrist Colleges recently released a statement revealing new COVID-19 discoveries by Spanish researchers. The statement states that the researchers could have discovered a new symptom of COVID-19 that looks like chickenpox lesion.

The lesions are very similar to those of chickenpox or measles and are purple in colour. They have been spotted mostly on the feet of children and teenagers but also on a few adults.

There have also been a few confirmations that COVID-19 patients in Spain, Italy and France had the same symptom that looks like chickenpox lesions. The researchers suspect the lesion is an early sign of the virus.

A research paper from the International Federation of Podiatrists contains all the findings on the chickenpox-like symptom of coronavirus.
