COVID-19 Vaccine Registration

COVID-19 vaccine electronic registration in Nigeria is now open.

The first 4 million doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 is arriving in Nigeria on March 2, 2021.

It is the first batch of 16 million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine that Nigeria will receive through COVAX facility. It is also free.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA has rolled out the T.E.A.C.H strategy which is an approach for COVID-19 vaccination in Nigeria.

During the launch of the T.E.A.C.H strategy, Dr Faisal Shuaib, executive director of the NPHCDA shared the indigenous approach to the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine in Nigeria.

According to Shuaib, vaccines will be rolled out as campaigns where health workers will go around to vaccinate citizens.

However, the agency is also launching an electronic self-registration for eligible Nigerians to register for the vaccine online.

The link for registration is available here: https://www.nphcdaict.com.ng/publicreg/ on the website of the NPHCDA. There is a unique identifier or and ID number for everyone who registers after a successful registration

Healthcare workers, older adults (50+) and 18-49 years with co-morbidities will first receive the vaccine.

Those in states/LGAs with high diseases burden and who missed phases 1 and 2 will also receive the vaccine before the rest of Nigerians.
