CBN extended eNaira launch date and put the project on hold indefinitely.
The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN announced that it is moving up the launch of its digital currency, eNaira a few days after the website launch.
The bank had said it is trying to stop it from colliding with the October 1, 2021, Independence Day events, therefore the eNaira is going to launch on a later date.
However, the independence day celebration has now passed and the CBN is yet to announce the new date for the launch of the eNaira.
