The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC uses an electronic system for easier registration of a business and companies in Nigeria as part of the goal of Nigeria’s new CAMA bill which supports the ease of doing business.
The new CAC system comprises a new technology that supports the submission of business details and collection of certificate electronically without having to visit the commission’s office.
Accreditations and revalidation which are also part of the CAC new reforms can as well be done online. Hence, the commission has announced that all customers that have been accredited before January 2020 should revalidate.

The commission has said that it will suspend customers who fail to revalidated accreditation before the prescribed date.

CAC business registration in Nigeria no longer requires a fee for certified true copies of incorporation. Its new system has further enhanced a lower cost of registration and customers only have to pay for registration and stamp duty.
All CAC certificate now carries a tax identification number, TIN, as well as QR code for authentication of a certificate.
All registered and approved company are available for public viewing on the CAC website https://www.cac.gov.ng/. The commission also provides a means to view the status of a company/ business or confirm a registration.
