In addition to the eight countries in Africa that have already validated the use of the Madagascar herbal COVID cure, Nigeria is now going to allow the drugs into the country. The World Health Organisation, who recently called for a clinical trial of the Madagascar COVID-Organic, CVO, still advises against it.
They are warning people not to take medicines untested but Africans are having faith in the Madagascar COVID-Organics.
Before launch by President Andry Rajoelina in April, about 20 people had received the drug as a test. The president also advertised the medicine as “a preventive and curative remedy against COVID-19, which works very well”.
The low infection rate of COVID-19 and no deaths in Madagascar could be a sign that the WHO needs to endorse the herbal drink. Africa has recorded at least 60,000 and only about 200 of those are in Madagascar.
Madagascar Herbal COVID Cure
The World Health Organisation statement on May 4 recognized that “traditional, complementary and alternative medicine has many benefits and Africa has a long history of traditional medicine and practitioners that play an important role in providing care to populations”.
However, as against the faith of the Africans, the WHO also think that they deserve to use international standard medicines.
President Andry Rajoelina is now accusing the WHO saying that they would have been fast to endorse it if it was from Europe. He incited that they would have no doubt according to an article by French 24.
Artemisia annua plant, a malaria remedy is used in making Madagascar COVID-Organics. But it needs an international endorsement to be accepted around the world.
The African Union is on its way to gather the technical data of the product from Madagascar with regards to the safety and efficacy of the herbal remedy.
