Nigerian Customs Airport

The Nigerian customs service stationed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos Nigeria have obtained a large sum of money dumped in a car. The money was found wrapped in bags as the driver was on his way to load it unto the aircraft.

The currency is not named. However, the money amounts to $8 million which is above the approved travel amount under Nigerian law.

The authorities are not clear who the money belongs to. However, they have placed the driver of the bus in custody. This could also have something to do with money laundering and the Nigerian customs and the airport authorities are looking into it now.
