The FG is yet to shortlist names of successful Npower applicants

A post which is suspected to be fraudulent is going around on WhatsApp with claims that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has shortlisted the names of successful Npower applicants.

The Humanitarian Affairs tagged the news a fake saying no one should give regards to it.

The link on Whatsapp opens a website that would request for an email address when clicked. When applicants meet the command, it further displays a congratulatory message.

“Congratulations, you have been shortlisted for the N-power program! Always ensure you check your e-mail frequently”.

A number of applicants have attempted this with the hopes of viewing the shortlisted names. However, the post furthers commands them to click on the green button WHATSAPP and share the notice on 12 WhatsApp groups to begin documentation.

Doing this will enable the next step which is documentation according to this post. This is all a scam and no one should fall for it as the FG is yet to release the shortlisted names of successful applicants.

Why the Whatsapp post is a scam not Npower names

Some people went along with the request and shared on 12 WhatsApp group only to receive more congratulatory messages.

The next steps requested were also unclear including selecting the device type to proceed with documentation.
