Nigeria: CBN Appoints Agents – Angila, Neroli, Gojopal – For Non-oil Exports Inspection

Non-oil Exports Inspection Agents by the CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has named Angila International Limited, Neroli Technologies Limited and Gojopal Nigeria Limited new agents of the pre-shipment inspection operation of non-oil exports in Nigeria.

The appointment which is effective from January 15, 2021, was announced by the CBN in a circular. It also bore the name of monitoring and evaluation agents (MEAs) who will oversee the activities of the PIAs.

For precision, the CBN also assigned different zones of operation to the PIAs:

  • Angila International Limited – North West and North Central Zones
  • Neroli Technologies Limited – South West and South-South
  • Gojopal Nigeria Limited – South East and North East

MEAs appointed with non-oil exports inspection agents (PIAs) in Nigeria

  • Foops Integrated Services Limited – coverage area includes North East, North West and North Central
  • Ace Global Depository – coverage area includes South East, South West, and South-South.

The CBN expects utmost compliance from the general public, operators as well as authorized dealers in the non-oil export sector.

The inspection agents will work with regulatory agencies in Nigeria – NAFDAC, SON and more in the inspection of quality, capacity, and export prices.
