Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is now charged in court alongside her husband Abdulrasheed Bello (JJC Skillz). The couple had broken the stay at home order by the government in their home state in Nigeria, Lagos.
In addition to breaking the orders with a house party that involved large gathering, the Bellos posted the videos on social media where they both have a significant number of followers.
The court has given them a fine of 100 000 each, or spend two weeks in a correctional institution. While that may seem like the most appropriate punishment for their action, the couple may be facing a coronavirus infection.
The court environment where they were didn’t seem to too pleasant for the couple due to the large crowd. Court protocol seemed careless and the whole place appeared too dramatic during the recess. The couple was blanketed from all sides by the press which also gave them a chance to hide their faces.
Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz may be going into quarantine right after this court issue. Funke was at the front of the NCDC video campaign on coronavirus where she talked about staying safe from the virus. It didn’t take that long for her to ruin the information.
