The headquarters of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) at Maitama, Abuja, suddenly went up in flames Wednesday afternoon.
Images taken of the building shows a blazing hot fire coming from all last floor of the seven-storey building. There is a confirmation that nothing was lost in the fire which has now been put out.
Accountant General of the Federation suffered the same fate about a week ago. This has now raised a deep suspicion among Nigerians who want to know the cause of the fire at both the CAC headquarters.
The Registrar-General of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar has now confirmed that the fire was caused by a power surge. He said that the fire started when a split air conditioner malfunctioned.
