BillBoard ‘Africa Now’ Features Tiwa Savage, Davido, Mr Eazi

A new publication by Billboard has featured three distinct Nigerian singers as it speaks of the appeal in African music. Billboard brands it ‘Africa Now’ with – Tiwa Savage, Davido and Mr Eazi on the front page.

The article recognises the scope of top African superstar including Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Fela Kuti. However, it also projects with the fact that younger African artists have never been more prospective.

African artists have excised not only resilience but also artistry as it names Nigeria a “wellspring of talent” in Africa. Music artist from Africa including Tiwa Savage and Davido now have associations with the biggest names in music and have signed top world record deals. Mr Eazi is an exemption in that as he has been independent.

An interview session of the article had the artists discussing how they are utilizing the lockdown to their own benefit. As they proceed on the interview, they talked stereotype and the growth of African music.

The Billboard article calls them “the first generation of truly global pop superstars from Africa”. It says that stars like Tiwa Savage, Davido and Mr Eazi, are to be thanked for paving the way for other artists through their diverse paths in the music industry in Nigeria.
