The Naira upgrades to a new status with eNaira and wallet.
The CBN has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will launch the eNaira on Monday, October 25.
The Naira will henceforth have dual status – in a digital and a cash form.
In any form, anyone can use the Naira as a legal tender in Nigeria. Using the eNaira only requires a few new steps – download and sign up.
The CBN digital currency, eNaira has the same utilities as the Naira. Anyone with a bank account can access the eNaira here https://www.enaira.gov.ng/ and set up a wallet.
The Naira will be connected to an individual’s bank account.

How to use CBN eNaira and wallet
The eNaira has a wallet component that makes it accessible. The details necessary to sign up for a wallet are BVN data.
Users will be required to input first name, last name, date of birth, state of origin, and email to sign up for eNaira.

- Scan the QR code below the page
- Enter personal bank account details and it is ready to use.
The wallet will give bank account owners extra ability especially to keep track of financial statements over internet networks.
