NEXIT Nigeria

NEXIT Portal for Npower beneficiaries

The federal government of Nigeria is furthering the job creation and empowerment scheme, NPower by setting up a portal, NEXIT to absorb 2016 exited beneficiaries.

NEXIT scheme will enable Npower beneficiaries to apply for various economic, empowerment and entrepreneurship options by the central bank of Nigeria.

  • Only Npower beneficiaries who have completed the two years program are eligible to apply on NEXIT.
  • NEXIT will possibly absorb batch C Npower beneficiaries after they have completed their program.
  • The CBN will set the criteria and conditions for NEXIT application and could require additional information from applicants to an empowerment plan.
  • The CBN will determine whether an applicant is suitable.

What is NEXIT and how is it different from NPower Nigeria?

Npower is a government scheme to provide a learning and practising environment for unemployed people in Nigeria. On the other hand, NEXIT is an empowerment program to place exited Npower beneficiaries in working positions.

The N-Power scheme, inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 targets beneficiaries from principal industries – Agriculture, Health and Education especially.

NEXIT places these beneficiaries in affiliated CBN programs through an upcoming portal.

It is essential to prepare for the launch of the NEXIT portal as the CBN criteria are not yet known.

Setting up the portal will help the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs.
