The federal government has decided to reschedule Computer Studies Practical for the 2020 National Examination (NECO).

The Federal Ministry of Education reached out on Twitter one day before the earlier scheduled date, Monday 19 October 2020. It also says that it regrets the inconveniences.

NECO Paper 1 Computer Studies Practical will now take place on Monday 16 November 2020, 10 am to 1 pm.

“This is to inform the general public and especially the candidates that the National Examination Council has been constrained to reschedule the paper 1 Computer Studies Practicals earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10 am to 1 pm for Monday 16 November 2020, 10 am to 1 pm.

Why NECO postponed 2020 Computer Studies practical

The EndSARS protest put a constraint on the council according to the statement and the delivery transport was unable to get the examination materials across.

“The NECO delivery truck had left its take-off point well in advance on Friday 16 October 2020 to earlier deliver examination, materials to some states and has been held up in the blockage since then”.

“The council wishes to assure all stakeholders and the general public that the affected examination materials have been retrieved and are in tack.

“While regretting any inconveniences this rescheduling may cause our esteemed stakeholders, the council has, however, taken this decision in order to maintain the integrity and security of its examination procedures for seamless conducts of the council’s examination”.

Azeez Sani Head, Information and public relations divisions NECO, signed the statement.
