Alex Kueng: Nigerian Who Took Part In The Death Of George Floyd

Alex Kueng Nigerian

After the death of George Floyd, there have been ongoing court issues to prosecute the officers involved in his death. The officers were four in number and new finding say that the black officer among them Alex Kueng, is part Nigerian.

Alex Kueng has a Nigerian father and a white mother. He was arrested alongside the three other officers who were part of the killing of George Floyd. His two sisters Radiance and Taylor had earlier called the police saying that the officers should be arrested. They also took part in the street protest.

Mr Kueng now symbolises the sort of policing he was hoping to stop when he joined the police according to the New York Times. This has also caused debate around him as people argue over police violence toward black people. More so, Mr Kueng has had to deal with similar issues himself.

Mr Kueng was confronted in a supermarket in Minneapolis shortly after he was released on bail and one shopper heckled him.

Mr Kueng, who is now out on bail is 26 and the youngest and least experienced among the four officers. He is charged with aiding and abetting in the death of Mr Floyd along with two of the other officers. Derek Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
