Nigerians first learned of the sinister fraud activities by Diezani Alison-Madueke around 2014/2015. Apparently, allegations have built up against Alison-Madueke before her arrest in 2015 like many varying series of political crimes in Nigeria.
It is not the most difficult puzzle to solve as politics, power and corruption are inseparable. Whether Diezani Alison-Madueke was threatened by Sanusi Lamido and framed as she claims or not, she is just a victim of a badly played game.

Crimes by Diezani Alison-Madueke
Allegations against Alison-Madueke began building when she was still the oil minister. Sanusi then Nigeria Central Bank Governor notified the public of $20bn missing oil money under her management. Alison denied knowing anything about it.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, later dragged three defendants to court on three count charges. One was for deploying fund of about N362 Million to influence the result of the 2015 presidential elections. The former minister was among the three.
The Arrest of Alison-Madueke
Alison-Madueke was arrested by the UK National Crime Agency as part of a top bribery and money laundering investigation in 2015. She has since remained in the UK over the crimes levelled against her by the UK court.
Alison is also part of a million-dollar fraud and money laundering offences in America. They seized properties that they believe she bought using the international bribery money.
What was seized
The US seized $144m of assets, one 200-foot yacht and a big house in Manhattan from Alison-Madueke.
The EFCC seized jewelries worth over $40 Million which they put for sale.
The court in Nigeria seized $37.5m apartment block in Lagos and also ordered for $2.74m and $269,000 naira part of the rent collected. A $150 million belonging to her was also seized by the Federal High Court in Nigeria.
Will Alison be Extradited to Nigeria
The Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu promises that Alison-Madueke will be extradited back to Nigeria. He stated that the UK has no reason to keep her after five years without even taking her to court.
