Oldest COVID-19 Patient to Recover in Nigeria

The oldest known COVID-19 patient to recover in Nigeria is so far a 98-year-old who was treated in an isolation centre Lagos. Lagos is the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria which makes it more likely. 

Every week a number of people are discharged after recovery from COVID-19 in Nigeria and on Wednesday 13, 26 patients were discharged. The 98-year-old, a woman who became the oldest COVID-19 patient to recover in Nigeria was one of them.

The Governor of Lagos State Babagide Sanwo-Olu shared it in a tweet. He also said he is thankful to the frontline workers for the effort. Furthermore, he urges residents to try to keep up with the safety guidelines.

Nigeria currently has a total of 4971 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 2041 of those are from Lagos. About 33 deaths have happened in Lagos alone.
