The official rate of dollar to naira on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s websites remains unchanged at 360/$1 despite being official. The same applies to all other rates in the forex market the entire second week in July.
Today Thursday, July 16, 2020, the naira is stable at N470/$1. This is the same rate at which it closed Wednesday, July 15 at the parallel market.
The NAFEX market is also stable at N386/$1 on Thursday, July 16, 2020. The Naira maintained and closed at its Monday closing rate of N387.92 to a dollar.
This is as accurate as the forex data can be in Nigeria. ARE uses data from Aboki FX and analyses it with those collected from traders on the ground.
