The Nigerian Breweries NB Plc has confirmed it to shareholders during its Annual General Meeting, AGM a declaration of N16 billion in total dividend for 2019. The equivalent amount of the total is 2.01 naira per ordinary share of 50 kobos each.
According to the NB Plc’s statement, an earlier interim dividend of N3,99 went out in December 2019. This left the final dividend at N12.1 billion.
The payable amount will go to its 110,803 shareholders starting June 24 following approval and tax deduction.
Over 10, 000 names are still waiting on the NB Plc unclaimed dividend list of 2019 December.
Nigerian Breweries Plc collapsed the 2019 dividend in two parts saying N6 billion is from its pioneer profits from previous, and over N10 billion is from the profits of the year.

Having shared a statement about its revenue for Q1 2020, the NB Plc Board of Directors of Nigerian Breweries Plc said the company made a profit in Q1 2020. Subtracting paid tax of N5.5 billion, it made lower than N83.2 billion in net revenue, a 0.09% drop from the corresponding quarter of 2019.
Also, N8 billion in Profit after Tax for Q1 2020 is a 31% drop from the same period in 2019.
Both revenue and tax dropped in comparison to the same quarter of 2019. On its expense data, it saw an increase of 13.9% in 2020 for marketing, distribution and administration.
The NB made the report for the first quarter ended March 31 public with all important data covered.
The company is classifying the COVID-19 crisis as a possible future influence on the revenue and the entire business. It could present a more unusual effect in the years to come as it is impossible to see all its financial impact.
