The Federal government recently ordered a 14 days lockdown on Lagos State ad the FCT. Though with a few exceptions which do not include Jumia.
The big online store, Jumia had its warehouse sealed-off by the Lagos State Government on 1 April. Lagos State Environment Protection Agency (LASEPA) and Lagos State Safety Commission were said to have carried out the action.
Sources tell us that the Jumia warehouse was shut down for breaching the lockdown order.

Hospitals, fuel distributors, food processing and electricity distributors are still allowed to operate during the lockdown.
Online shopping is seeing a boom due to increased orders during the coronavirus pandemic. This led Amazon to employ 100 000 Americans to remedy the situation and meet customers demands as they are forced to stay home. Jumia is certainly experiencing the opposite though it seemed like they had this under control.
