Jack Ma Foundation, ABH, Selects Three Nigerians On Its Top 20 List

The Jack Ma Foundation Africa’s Business Heroes, ABH, has selected its top 20 finalists for its 2020 competition. Among them are three Egyptians, three Nigerians and 14 others from Algeria, Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe. 

The 20 selected today are the semi-finalist who will now advance into the final competition of ABH. The grand prize for the winning stage is $1.5 million.

About a month ago, the ABH had named 50 entrepreneurs who took part in the quarter-final competition. That included seven Nigerians and three of them made the top 20 list.

Chinedu Azodoh: He is the Co-founder of Metro Africa Xpress (MAX), a motorcycle-riding service which operates with a mobile app. The company targets people who are in need of fast transport to work without having to wait in traffic.

Before the ABH, Chinedu had been on the Alibaba’s eFounders Program and the Techstars New York Accelerator Program.



Ifeoluwa Olatayo: The Soupah Farm-en-Market is a startup by Ifeoluwa Olatayo that acts as a trade solution for local farmers. It is a platform where retail stores can find these farmers and trade with them. Ifeoluwa’s food delivery business took off from the University of Benin and it has turned into a massive business idea.

She had been in a number of similar competitions like the European-Nigerian Students Entrepreneurship Workshop organized by Oxford Brookes University, U.K.

Oluwasoga Oni: MDaaS Global, a health tech company was founded by a group of four people and Oluwasoga Oni is one of them. The other three are Opeyemi Ologun, Genevieve Barnard Oni and Joseph McCord. Oluwasoga is a System Design engineer.
