Nigeria’s electrical system still seem to fail a lot today and it is the citizens who suffer in the dark. The vandalisation of electrical connections and bad management have often been to blame. The Ikeja Electric finally came up with technical solutions, the payment/recharge portal and safety app, i-safe. Both systems are accessible from anywhere and have been good for both users and the powers supply company in Nigeria.
Step by Step guide to using the Ikeja Electric i-safe app
Many Nigerians aren’t using the i-safe app and payment portal or hardly even knows how to use any. The payment portal is pretty easy to use and so is the i-safe app. Simply follow this step to step guide on how to use it. The Ikeja Electric i-safe app is a real-time report that will help the company identify a safety hazard before they cause any damages.
- Go to Google play store on your android – Open the play store and search for Ikeja i-safe app. Click on the download button. It will take a few seconds to finish the download and it depends on internet speed. This app is only available to android users now.
- Register – It is necessary to enter personal details as it might be impossible to use the app without entering name and location.
- Allow Access to the device – A prompt will pop up asking to Allow I-Safe to access location, photos, media and files on the device. Punch ‘Allow’.
- Take photos and enter a short description – After allowing access, the device camera opens and you can either select an existing photo of the hazard or just take a new photo and click upload. Back to the main interface, write a short description for the photo you have just uploaded. At least two photos are allowed and the steps are easier with the second photo.
