After the FG approved the 5G technology, the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC has said that it is reserving the sales prices of each slot in the spectrum band at between N75 and N100 billion.
Telcos who want to acquire the 3.5 gigahertz (GHz) spectrum which will be used for 5G services will buy at the auction prices set by the NCC.
The Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof Umar Dambatta, disclosed this after the approval for deployment of 5G.
The Federal Executive Council (FEC), which approved the 5G technology also advocates it for Nigeria’s Digital Economy.

Before approval, the FG had said that all major cities in Nigeria will have full 5G coverage by 2025.
