Investments in African tech startups have grown a lot in the last years. Africa Tech Summit which has been hosted only a few years, both in Kigali and London, is playing a great part in that.
Africa Tech Summit is a two-part program organized to bring together tech startups and investors. The first part is hosted in Kigali and is coming up on February 4 – 6, while the second part takes place in London on May 22. The summit is a unique possibility for African tech startups to get a chance to reach a global audience.
The organizers of Africa Tech Summit had startups applying to pitch live at the event in Kigali. They received over 100 applications from all over Africa, however, only 11 startups made the cut. Nigeria tops the list with the following five entries:
- Limestart
- ThankUCash
- Riby
- HouseAfrica
- OkwuEco
With over 600 investors and associates present, they might be having a bright future ahead of them.
